Solscan 2024: A Year of Transforming and Innovations
As the year is coming to an end, it’s time to wrap up and reflect on the journey as well as technical achievements that we have achieved so far. After having surpassed more than three years in the running, Solscan can proudly say that we have achieved several significant milestones and improvements after a long year of hardships and fruitfulness.
In this article, we will take a closer look into the key developments that have defined Solscan’s journey over the year of 2024.
Solscan Integration into Etherscan
2024 marked a significant milestone for Solscan, beginning with its integration into Etherscan on January 3rd. As one of the world's leading block explorers, Etherscan’s collaboration with Solscan has been a positive step forward, especially in the product and technical aspects. This integration has provided resources and joint support to enhance the capabilities of both platforms. Solana users also proved to be a great beneficiary of recent improvements as the positives feedback from our users has been overwhelming.
Following the integration, Solscan has introduced numerous advancements in its product. Let's explore these improvements in detail.
New Features
1. New Activities Tabs
With the goal of providing users with intuitive and accurate data displays, Solscan introduced three new activity tabs: Transfers, DeFi Activities, and NFT Activities. These additions offer a clear and in-depth view of Solana transactions, simplifying the understanding of each type of transaction.
2. More Filters
To empower users in navigating data on Solscan, column filters have been added to virtually every column in the table. Each tab in a details page features a customized set of filters, enabling users to easily find transactions that meet their needs. With a little bit of playing and tweaking, users can easily find out the transactions to their demand.
Additionally, transaction filter toggles—Hide Failed TX, Hide Zero Amount TX, and Hide Spam TX—have been added to each activities tab to eliminate noise in the table.
3. More Labelling
Years of working on Solscan and enhancing blockchain readability have brought us to realize the importance of labeling addresses. In 2024, we have put significant efforts to develop our tagging and labeling system, both manually and automatically.
Addresses such as LP tokens, liquidity pools, and pool information have been categorized and labeled automatically. Furthermore, manual labeling has been actively performed for addresses belonging to projects, teams, entities, etc.
Solscan welcomes contributions from teams and individuals regarding labeling work.
4. Blinks: Solscan Tip Jar
Solana Actions allows anyone to share a metadata-rich link (Blockchain link or “Blink”) online to initiate a Solana action without the need for an app. This transformation enables more accessible and user-friendly adoption for non-crypto users.
Solscan has integrated this feature into the platform, allowing users to connect their Solana wallets and send SOL with ease by clicking the “Tip” button on an account details page.
5. New Integrations
Recognizing the importance of Solana's new standardized innovations, Solscan has quickly provided support for the integration of:
- Token2022 standard’s Token Extensions display.
- Metaplex Core digital assets standard display.
- Account Anchor Data display.
- Anchor 0.3 Framework support.
Furthermore, Solscan expanded its coverage of the Solana DeFi landscape by adding more DeFi dashboards for programs such as Sanctum, Pump.fun, and OpenBook.
6. Solscan New Tools
Several flexible new tools have been developed to serve different purposes:
- Transaction Inspector: Allows users to closely examine transaction details before they are sent to the network or after they have been processed.
- Verify Signatures: For signing or verifying message signatures.
- Account Balance Checker: Checks the token balance of an address at a specific time.
- Solscan Transfer Heatmap: A fun heatmap calendar to visualize trading frequency.
- Site Settings: An all-in-one place for Solscan website setting options.

The Solscan team has made significant improvements in this area, including:
- Programs Parsing for Sanctum and Pump.fun.
- Transactions Parsing for staking activities, Jupiter Perpetuals - DCAs - Limit Orders, Jupiter Tx Slippage and Referral Fee, NFT Tx Loyalty Fee and Trading Fee.

These updates ensure accurate data display across the Solscan platform, particularly in the Transaction Actions feature, which provides concise and comprehensive key details of a transaction.
3. Improved User Profile Interface
Enhancements to the Solscan User Profile include the addition of a search function in the Personal Labels tab, an overview usage dashboard for Solscan features, and an improved Notifications layout, enhancing the overall user experience, making it more efficient and convenient.
4. Other Upgrades
Additional improvements include:
