Exploring Blocks page
A block is a core concept in blockchain, contains a set of transactions data and essential information such as the block hash, the previous block hash, the timestamp, etc.
You can view more blocks detail by going to Solscan’s Blocks page.
Viewing the Blocks page on Solscan:
1. Block Hash: or Block number, is a unique value (hash) that identifies a specific block.
2. Slot: A slot refers to the period of time in which a slot leader produces ledger entries. The minimum slot time is 400ms.
3. Time: The timestamp of the block. You can click on the header to change it to UTC time.
4. Leader: The validator identity that is responsible for producing new blocks and proposing to the network for that block.
5. Tx Count: Total number of transactions in the block.
6. Non-vote Tx(s): Total number of non-vote transactions in the block. A non-vote transaction typically refers to a movement of SOL between different Solana accounts.
7. Success Rate: The percentage of transactions that succeeded in the block.
8. Reward: The reward given to the validator that validates the block as the slot leader.
